How to Draw Bird Wings
- Draw an outline.
To begin with, it is worth drawing the outline of the wings. Focusing on the example instructions, just above the center of the sheet, draw a diagonal curved line to the left, and then continue it to the bottom of the sheet to the right. Mirror the outline of the second wing.
- Start drawing plumage.
Next, you need to add feathers to the bottom of the wings. The plumage can be drawn in the form of high wavy lines, or in the form of elongated, incomplete ovals.
- Finish drawing the plumage.
In addition to the previous step, you need to add a few more feathers. Note that at this stage they are arranged horizontally and approximately at the same level.
- Color your drawing.
The drawing is almost ready, it remains to paint the wings. You can use the color shown in our drawing from the lesson as a basis, or use your own unique color.
I hope this bird wings drawing guide was useful and interesting for you. Don’t forget that drawing is a skill that can only be developed with practice. You can also try yourself in drawing other birds. We wish you success in your work!
