Here you will learn how to draw an alpaca easily and quickly.
The alpaca is a distant relative of the camel and a close relative of the llama. It is believed that the alpaca is descended from the llama, and many even confuse the llama with the alpaca. There are differences between alpacas and llamas. Ears are the most noticeable difference, alpacas have small and spear-shaped ears, while llamas have longer, banana-like ears. The shape of the muzzle, in alpacas, is more flattened, while in llamas, on the contrary, it is more elongated.
The ancestors of the alpaca, as established by DNA studies, were vicuñas from the family of humpless camels, and llamas are the closest relatives. Their habitat is South America, the highlands in the Andes. Living in the mountains, harsh climatic conditions, alpacas endure thanks to the warm and long hair that covers them especially densely on the sides. In terms of thermal characteristics, it is seven times superior to sheep’s fur.
