How to Draw a Dog
- Head outline.
Begin by drawing the outline of the dog’s head and muzzle. First, draw a circular shape for the head, then draw an elongated muzzle as in the example. Also add a round shape for the dog’s eye.
- Add details.
Detail the dog’s face by drawing the curved line of the mouth, pupil, eyebrow, and nose.
- Draw the ears.
Using curved lines, draw the dog’s ears. The shape of the ears should be pointed.
- Draw the body.
Using curved lines depict an elongated dog’s body.
- Body details.
Add fur texture on the dog’s back using zigzag lines. Also draw a small dog tail as shown.
- Draw the legs.
Depict the front leg using two lines that widen at the top and narrow at the bottom. Outline the back leg using a curved line for the long part of the leg, and a shorter line for the short part of the leg.
