How to Draw a Beetle
- Draw the head.

- Add mandibles.
Next, you need to draw a long and elongated mandibles. The beetle’s mandible is the part of the beetle’s mouth that is used to tear and grind food. Some species of beetles are used for defense against predators.
- Draw the thorax.
Next, you need to draw the chest of the beetle. Add a slightly larger shape at the bottom of the head.
- Draw the abdomen.
Next, at the bottom of the thorax, draw the abdomen, which has the shape of an elongated oval. Then draw a vertical line to detail the belly and thereby show the wings.
- Draw the legs.
Next, let’s start drawing the legs of the beetle. They can be very different sizes and shapes, depending on the type of beetle. In our lesson, each leg consists of two parts.
- Draw the hind legs.
At this stage, in the same way, you need to draw the hind legs. But note that they are directed in the opposite direction. Also draw the initial part of the last legs, shaped like squares.
- Finish drawing the legs.
At this stage, you need to finish the last pair of hind legs.
- Color your drawing.
Finally, add the beetle’s coloring details. You can choose any color for the beetle you like. For example, you can draw a beetle in different shades of green.
