As you know, the main habitat of the giraffe is the savannas of Africa. One of the main distinguishing features of the giraffe is its long neck. The height of this animal can reach up to 6 meters, of which about 1/3 is the length of the neck. Giraffes have short, sand-colored fur. They have fur markings of various shapes, dyed in various shades of brown. Giraffes are exclusively herbivores. An interesting fact: among all mammals, giraffes have one of the smallest needs for sleep and they sleep up to 2 hours a day.

How to Draw a Baby Giraffe
- Draw the outline of the head.
Let’s start drawing the giraffe with its fairly large head. To do this, draw an oval shape that is slightly flattened in the center. Then draw two oval eyes at the top of the head.
- Detail of the face.
Add pupils. To do this, draw bold dots in the previously drawn eyes. Next, just below eye level, draw a horizontal line. Then draw two small nostrils.
- Draw the ears.
Once we have finished detailing the face, we move on to drawing the parts of the head. Next, you need to draw the ears. In their form, they look like leaves and are located on the sides of the head. Also in this step we will start drawing the horns of the giraffe. To do this, stepping a little from the top of the head, draw two small circles.
- Detail the ears and horns.
At this stage, it is necessary to finish the inner parts of the ears. To do this, add smaller ovals inside the drawn ears. And then complete the drawing of the horn, to do this, connect the upper part of the giraffe’s head with the previously drawn circles with vertical lines.
- Draw the neck and body.
Next, move on to drawing the body of the baby giraffe. From the bottom of the head, draw two vertical lines that smoothly turn into a horizontal oval.
- Add spots.
Draw characteristic circles all over the giraffe’s body and neck. You can use circles of different sizes.
- Draw the tail.
The tail consists of two simple shapes and is shaped like a brush.
- Start drawing the legs.
The leg is drawn quite simply. To do this, it is enough to draw two vertical lines that slightly move away from each other at the bottom and connect. Then add another horizontal line, thus getting a hoof. Repeat this action with the second leg.
- Finish drawing the legs.
In the same way draw two more legs. Note that the second hind leg is not fully visible as it is slightly overlapped by the other.
- Color your drawing.
