Ducks belong to a large, widespread family of waterfowl, which includes about 150 species. All of them have a streamlined wide body, flipper-like membranes on the feet and a flattened beak. The plumage of duck birds is completely waterproof. This ability of water resistance in ducks is due to the secreted oil that the uropygial gland creates.
Ducks live in a huge number of places on earth, and their habitat is generally very large. There are no ducks only in cold Antarctica, of course. Ducks need water bodies, and if they are in a certain place on earth, then most likely you have a chance to meet these birds there.
